As bizarre sounding as the name of this game is, you might be surprised to find out there are actually two totally different games with this name release around the same time developed by the same team. Well, if you’re in the US that is. This game’s original title is “Matrix: Gridrunner 2″ and it’s actually part of the Gridrunner series. For whatever reason, when the game was released in the US, the name of the game was changed to “Attack of the Mutant Camels” despite the gameplay not really reflecting any sort of attacking camels (well I guess they could be camels if you squint). Name aside, the action is fast past and frantic and the visuals can put you in a trance. But then again, you’d expect nothing less from a game where Jeff Minter is involved.
Attack of the Mutant Camels for the Commodore 64 was developed by Llamasoft and published by HESWare in 1983.
