Now this ain’t your typical Double Dragon game, and that might be an understatement. Whenever you think of Double Dragon, you typically think of the (mostly) entertaining sidescrolling beat’em up games. However after 4 games in the series, it was decided that wasn’t going to cut it any more and Double Dragon needed to be a one on one fighting game which was popular at the time due to the success of Street Fighter II a few years earlier. On top of that, the game is based on the cartoon that was on at the time. This makes the game bare very little ressemblance to previous entries in the series. Now that I think about it, this game really shouldn’t have “V” in the title.
Double Dragon V for the Jaguar was developed by Leland Interactive Media and published by Tradewest in 1995.
