Nintendo followed up their hit Punch-Out with Arm Wrestling. Using the same design team they released it only in North America. Let’s look at this forgotten Nintendo gem.

Sky Kid Deluxe

Namco released Sky Kid Deluxe in 1986 as a quick follow up to the origin ’85 Sky Kid. The game play is identical except for some visual additions like rain and night skies.
SKD is a enjoyable and simple game to play but hard to master.

Metamorphic Force

In 1993 Konami released Metamorphic Force in the arcades. It was hailed as a reimagining of Sega’s Altered Beast, but was it really? Metamorphic Force stands on its own merits as we examine and review the title.

In 2001 Tecmo released a weird little game called Monster Farm Jump or Monster Rancher Jump in the US.

Jungle King – Jungle Hunt – Pirate Pete

Taito Corp released Jungle King in 1982. The game’s hero was a Tarzan like character that the estate of Edgar Rice Burroughs objected to and subsequently sued Taito for.
The company then revamped Jungle King replacing the offending character with an explorer and called it Jungle Hunt. Jungle Hunt eventually went on to be ported to most home consoles and computers of the 80′s.
Not satisfied with Jungle Hunt Taito continued to modify jungle King and came up with Pirate Pete. There were some minor game changes in Pirate Pete but the over all game play was Jungle King at its core.

Caveman Ninja Joe and Mac

Data East released Caveman Ninja in 1991. In the game you must rescue your tribe’s female folk who have been kidnapped by Neanderthals.
The game was also successful ported to the Nintendo NES, Sega Mega Drive Genesis systems and the Commodore Amiga under the name Joe and Mac.

The Great 1000 Mile Rally. A racing game by Kaneko in 1994. The race is modeled on the famous Italian Mille Miglia race.
The game features a blur effect that gives the illusion of speed, making the game fast and fun to play.

Escape from the Planet of Monster Robots

Released by Atari in 1989, Escape from the Planet of the Monster Robots is a quirky fun romp where aliens have enslaved humans to build killer robots to attack the Earth. How original!

A.B. Cop MAME Arcade Game

Sega released A.B. Cop in 1990 as at handle bar driving game game with a seat to mimic a Air Bike as the game’s title implies.
You’re a cop who must take down all manner of villains and their cohorts by ramming them with your air bike.
The game is fast paced and is reminiscent of Taito’s 1988 arcade game Chase HQ.

Kick-Man or Kickman MAME Arcade Game MAMECADE

Kick-Man was a unique arcade game released in 1981 by Midway. It featured a clown on a unicycle trying to catch balloons on his head. Strange indeed.
The Mighty Pac-Man also is featured in this game, not as a playable character but just as a scoring mechanism.
Finding a working Kick-Man machine today is nearly impossible.
